Strong apron strings have tied the Bonanni family to the kitchen for three generations.
Giorgio Bonanni grew up in his father’s restaurant, learning recipes and food preparation principles, which he used as a basis in his own restaurant, Osteria dell’Arco, and accompanying enoteca in the historic city of Rome.
Osteria dell’Arco became known for its excellent regional cuisine accompanied by carefully selected wines.
It was this passion for food that led Giorgio and his family to gather together some friends with commercial marketing experience to create La Cucina dello Zio Giorgio as an avenue for exporting his recipes and some of Italy’s delicious specialty items to a wider audience.
Our desire is to show the true excellence of Italian cuisine and to make available the hidden culinary gems of our country.
Our products are created from new recipes as well as old favorites; all are produced to exacting standards using only the freshest ingredients…Chef Giorgio wouldn’t have it any other way.
